This is used to go to the main line as it is the perfect size for 3 inch pipes. It can also be used in the toilet pipe area but the commode must be removed in order to do this.
This is perfect for washing machine lines, the kitchen sink, and even the clean out pipe that is on the top of some houses.

Equipment Corner : Sewer Snake / Auger

Did you know one of the most rented items after the holidays is the sewer snake?

Instead of calling your local plumber, try renting a sewer snake and get the job done yourself, potentially saving over half the price.
How to Properly Snake a Sewer Drain
1. Locate the main line clean out and remove the cap.
2. Check for standing water in the pipe. If there is standing water you will want to run the drain machine cable toward the street. If there is no standing water and the toilets are stopped up you will run the cable toward the house.
3. Position the drain snake as close as possible to
the clean out.
4. Put on a pair of leather gloves.
5. Pull the head of the cable out and put it into the clean out and start to feed a few feet of cable into the pipe before turning on the machine.
6. Turn machine to forward position and turn it on. Slowly feed the cable into the drain while holding it steady.
7. When the tough spot is reached slowly ease the cable back and forward again until you feel resistance again. Do not attempt to force the cable through as this can tangle the snake cable up.
8. Continue to move the cable back and forth a few feet at a time until the clog has cleared.
9. Pull the cable back out and check the toilets and tub drains to ensure that everything is running well
before closing the cleanout. Flush the toilet multiple times to make sure the stoppage is truly clear before returning the machine.

Pipes and Plumbing

Although North Texas doesn’t always get cold enough for our pipes to freeze, when it does you need to be prepared. Did you know that we have the tools and equipment that it takes to help with all your pipes and plumbing needs?  Your home plumbing maintenance necessities are all here.

Tap & Die – Tap & Die is another word for pipe threading. Similar to a ratchet wrench, the tap and die allows the user to cut grooves into pipe. The taps for threading the pipe come in different sizes ranging from ¼” to 2”.

Fish Tape –Is used to run cable or wire through pipe, PVC and other difficult hard to reach or narrow channels.

Conduit Bender – This tool creates an offset bend for a conduit box or an angle/bend in the pipe.

Pipe Cutter – The Rental Stop pipe cutter can cut up to 2” pipe.

18” Pipe Wrench – Use this tool to grip and turn a soft pipe or to turn a round fitting. It is designed for 1” or 2” pipe. The pipe wrench can also be used to turn a nut if it has been rounded to the point that a standard wrench cannot turn.

Electric Pipe Threader – This tool is a tap and die set for larger sections of pipe.

The considerations for renting a sewer snake camera?

So, what is a sewer inspection camera (aka sewer snake camera) and how do you choose one to fit your needs? You can call your local Rental Stop store and their helpful equipment experts will be glad to give great information.

There are different types of pipe inspection cameras, for different  sized pipes, as well as for different types of inspection. Sewer  Inspection Cameras are manufactured in various working lengths, camera  diameters, and optional features, such as traceability (incorporated  sonde), water pressure resistance, image and video capture, self  leveling or remotely moving pan-and-tilt head, etc. You will be able to rent the sewer camera that will cover most of your needs.

So, take into account this information when you’re renting an inspection camera: 1. Camera Working Length: our most demanded and easy to operate are cameras with push rod from 20 to 60 meters (65 to 197 ft.). 2. Camera Head diameter: it should be at least few millimeters less than narrowest pipe you’re going to inspect. For centering camera in a pipe line special skids can be attached to a camera head. The smallest sewer camera heads available (from 0.9″). 3. If you need to keep your camera in a horizontal position, a system with self leveling camera would be a good choice. All of our cameras are waterproof but some inspections have to be done under significant water pressure. A heavy duty inspection camera will operate under 11 Bar water pressure. 5. You can view it at a later date, or use the recording for documenting problem areas. Files can be saved on СF or SD memory cards depending on the chosen sewer camera system. 6.
